Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 600 g of cod fillets
- 50 g of butter
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1-2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
- 1 lemon
- Nepalese Timur pepper (black peppercorns) or Lemon Pepper
Follow these steps:
Let the butter soften at room temperature.
Meanwhile, get your steamer ready or if you don’t have one use a sieve over a pot. Flavour the water in the steamer with a peeled garlic clove, two slices of lemon and a few grains of black pepper.
Add the cod fillets in the steamer, and cook for 15 minutes from when the steam starts.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix the softened butter with the chopped parsley.
Transfer the cod fillets to the serving dish and immediately lay a little butter on each one so that the heat melts it slightly, adding flavour to the fish.
The steamed cod is very delicate, so make sure you add the right pepper to exalt its flavours and taste and not overpower it.
