Description

One of the treasures that Cristopher Columbus was hoping to find, second to gold, was black pepper which was at the time becoming even more expensive due Ottoman Empire cutting off traditional routes from India.

This pepper is between 10,000-30,000 on the Scoville scale so please avoid contact with eyes. Instead, make sure you add a pinch of it to your favourite foods to provide an extra level of heat and aroma.

It adds a good whack of heat and flavour without overpowering the rest of the ingredients in your meal.
